Leanne’s Story
An empowerment film about endometriosis and fertility
The undeniable potency and tangible magic in a woman's story is ancient, powerful and cosmic.
Leanne's breathtaking empowerment shoot with the sunset, the calm breeze, the river and her beloved as our space holders was Divine. Pure magic and we could all feel in the air, it was like we could even reach out and touch it.
Below is the piece of creative poetry Kelsey wrote for Leanne’s film (as all Kelsey’s client’s have final say - she then sent Leanne the copy and she tweaked as felt aligned to her.)
This is Leanne’s story:
I felt you in the air
In my bones
In my blood
You lingered
Like a cherished whisper on my skin
Encoded in the tapestry of my soul
Destiny had written its name in the stars and I looked up and read it
Motherhood
The breath of my heart in knowing
The pulse of my womb in the calling
But,
What was always my destiny
Came crashing down around me
Like a torchered prophecy
Natural conception is impossible
"I can't have kids"
And then,
My soul left my body
But, theres something otherworldly that happens when a woman's magic becomes aflame
For she converses with the cosmos
And she weaves lives together with the constellations
"Aut viam inveniam aut faciam"
"I will either find a way, or make one"
For I am the Goddess of my Destiny
And then the waves came
The amniotic waves of my womb's soul
Crashing and carving the hardness
The grave that endo dug against my will
Listening
Seeing
Envisioning
Dreaming
Breathing
Weaving my own healing
Taking my life back
And there
In the blinding midst of it all
My womb began to breathe
My ovaries softened
My beautiful oceanic fimbrae blossomed like a glistening monstera tree
I danced my way through the dark of the night
Befriending the monsters and demons I feared for so long
And I led myself back to my Destiny
It was the blue moon who told me of you
And everything else around me melted away into the abyss of the milky way
And seeing you now
Holding you
Touching you
My soul finds solace
Within your ocean blue eyes
My soul finds peace
How this treacherous journey led me to you
The indescribable to the undeniable
Within you, I have finally found myself
Within you, my soul is reclaimed
Within you, I have found my way back home
For I know in my bones
Our souls have danced a thousand lifetimes together
My tiny sunbeam
My spring wildflower
I have found you
